SOCIAL MEDIA NETWORKING TIPS

Social media networking can be either wonderful or frustrating or sometimes both. Wonderful because it is easy to do, it’s engaging, interesting and frustrating because it is time consuming and sometimes it is difficult to understand where all of this is going. Metaphorically, it can be similar to creating a web and sticking yourself into it. The thing to remember is that a proper strategy helps a lot otherwise there are so many details that it is easy to get lost and confused. Even experts have sometimes floundered a lot while maintaining their social media presence. The following lines provide some experiences and tips which can be followed to make sure that your experience remains hassle free.

Social Network Presence is Based on Socializing:

A basic thing which many people overlook is that social networking is a platform which is designed to socialize and form a network. This means that you have to do the hard work of actually building connections with the people out there and more importantly, on a person to person basis. This means that you have to keep sharing your position, insights and engage in others. When maintaining a front of a brand or a service or when promoting yourself, always share insights that help that front. After doing this, take it a step further and appreciate/engage in other’s insights so that they are welcome to reciprocate.

Jack of all Sites Or a King of Few:

Some businesses make the mistake of building their presence on ALL the social networking sites present online. The thing to remember is where the people are or where most of the people are. A big hint can be the survey which showed that almost seven hundred million are present on Facebook and Twitter alone. If doing just these two seems boring, then LinkedIn and Google+ can be used as well. In fact, Google hangouts are fast becoming a popular connecting portal. The best part about this simulated reality is that it is very easy to move shop to where the people are and don’t get stuck to a place just because an account is created there.

Choose Positive Relevance and Indulge Others

The thing about positivity is that it attracts everyone. There will be some pessimists who bring in gloom and doom but the irony is that they don’t stick much to the negative and irrelevant pages. Even they migrate over to the places where positive communication is going on. People want to know what is available, what things are going on, they want to engage in happening conversations, relate with others and they hope that all of these are happening in a positive place. Become a source of that positivity and share the insights about things that you love. It will be easy to find more people with that common liking. For example, there are almost thirty million followers of Manchester United page on the net but a small percentage of that follows I hate Manchester United. People want to come to the positive places.
