The time we spend with our family is less when compared to the time we spend online.We are more wired than ever. New gadgets and apps are launched every day in the market. Even a child in kindergarten knows about Gmail or has an account in Facebook.

Email, PDAs, phones, laptops, and cell phones dominate our modern world. Our uber-connected lives have made us virtually available at any time, at any place. We keep checking our mails even when it is not necessary. We keep texting our friends or download some new games or movies using the college Wi-Fi when the lecturer gives his lecture. We spend all our leisure time chatting online or playing video games.
This addiction may get even worse. Once I read in newspaper some 600 people stood in line at the Fifth Avenue Apple store to buy a new iPad Mini, while other long lines formed at gas stations and grocery stores in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. Whenever priorities seem so out of whack like that, there must be an addiction lurking.
A friend of mine was highly addicted to game called”World of Warcraft.” (The above image is not of my friend. I just want to show how people react while playing games) He spent all his time playing the game. He would often eat meals at the computer – junk food, energy drinks, foods that required only one hand, leaving the other free to work the keyboard and mouse. The game made him feel god like. It was like a virtual world, never ending. We can meet new characters and the graphics and storyline are very awesome. The game's makers offered expansions every year, which meant new worlds to explore, new levels to achieve. He spent his pocket money to buy fake gold so he could get an "epic-level sword" and some "top-tier armour" for his avatar. When his parents came to know about this they took away his pc. It took him many days to get accustomed to a world without World of Warcraft.
If you feel that you have any of these symptoms better start controlling your habit or else you will also end up as a tech addict. Everyone knows the effects of surrendering yourself to this habit. It affects you psychologically, physically and also ruins your career and relationship. Try to use your phone, laptop or networking site only when required. Spend more time with your friends and family. Give importance to your health and go to a gym or play with your friends. If you have a pet try to spend time with it.
